Aasif Suhaf, Srinagar: Two policemen and three civilians were killed and two cops, a civilian were injured after terrorists opened fire at a joint party of police and CRPF at main chowk Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday.
Official sources told News24 that at least 7 persons were injured including four cops and three civilians after suspected militants attacked a police party in Sopore today.
Officials said that all the injured were shifted to sub-district Sopore for treatment where two cops and two civilians were declared dead on arrival.

The officials sources said that three other were critical including two cops and a civilian and they were being treated at the hospital.
Meanwhile, IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar told News24 that terrorist group Lashker-e-Toiba is behind the attack in Sopore and security forces have started operation to nab these attackers. IGP said they will find the attackers soon.
PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti while condemning the Sopore terrorist attack said, "he Kashmir issue can't be resolved through Delhi's gun or the gun carried by youth of Kashmir. These attacks only complicate the issue and it earns bad name for Kashmir."
"Because of these kind of attacks more stringent powers are being used here on the name of security. We believe only dialogue is the solution for all issues," Mehbooba added.
Instead of condemning the terrorists directly, Mehbooba also launched attack on the central government and the security forces for using special powers in Kashmir.
