The presence of two to three terrorists was reported in the area. The security forces carried out a search operation in the area for a long time after killing the terrorist, but when it was sure that no more terrorists were present there, they ended the operation and left.
Along with taking possession of the terrorist's body, the security forces also recovered a pistol and some grenades from him. The security forces say that the terrorist was asked several times to surrender but when he refused, he was killed in an encounter.
According to reports, this search operation, which was carried out by the Indian Army in search of the terrorist is going on since last Wednesday night. Recently, Anayat Ashraf Dar (18) son of an over ground worker turned terrorist, Ashraf Dar resident Keshwa Shopian shot and seriously injured a person of his own area, Jeewar Hameed Bhat, on Wednesday. After carrying out this incident, he fled from there. and hid in Chitrigam area. Anayat has also been involved in drug trafficking.
After being informed that he was hiding in Chitrigam area, the security forces started a search operation to find him. The information systems had also informed the security forces that two to three more terrorists are also present in the area along with Anayat.
In the early hours of today, when the security personnel reached near the hideout of the terrorist, they started firing on the security forces. Before retaliation, the security forces asked the terrorist to surrender several times, but every time he answered the security forces with bullets. After this, the security forces in retaliation killed the terrorist there.
Taking possession of the terrorist's body, the security forces also recovered a pistol and some grenades from the encounter site. At present, the search operation of the security forces is going on due to the apprehension of the presence of more terrorists in the area. Local sources say that Anayat was 18 years old and had joined the terrorists a few days back.-
