New Delhi: On the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, an all-party meeting on Jammu and Kashmir will be organized on Thursday.
All the parties involved in the Gupkar alliance of Jammu and Kashmir and the Congress have given their approval to join it.
However, the Congress says that it would have been better if its agenda was also together with the invitation for the meeting. On the other hand, in view of the activities of the terrorists, a 48-hour high alert has been announced for the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir. Internet service may be suspended on June 24.
Gupkar alliance will go to Delhi for talks with PM Modi
Organizations like the National Conference and the People's Democratic Party, constituents of the People's Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD), will raise the issue of restoration of the pre-August 5 constitutional status and the immediate release of Kashmiri prisoners lodged in various jails in the country.
PDP President Mehbooba Mufti went a step further and demanded the Center to start the process of talks with Pakistan as well. Apart from this agenda, NC, PDP, CPI(M) will also take sides according to the policies of their party, because everyone has got different invitations.
This is so that in the event of a deadlock, they can break the head of the center and if things work out, they can take credit.
PAGD leaders say that if the discussion in the meeting is in the interest of the people of Kashmir, then it will be accepted, otherwise we will directly refuse. At the same time, Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party Chairman Syed Altaf Bukhari will also attend the meeting to be held on June 24 at the residence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Jammu and Kashmir BJP President Ravinder Raina and party leader and former Deputy CM Kavinder Gupta left for Delhi from Jammu to attend the all-party meeting. Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti has also left for Delhi from her residence to attend the all-party meeting.
Congress also ready to participate in the meeting
On the other hand, the Congress has also agreed to participate in the meeting with the Prime Minister. This decision has been taken by the party high command in Delhi. Sonia Gandhi presided over the meeting in Delhi, in which former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was also present.
All the mainstream parties of the state have been invited for a meeting to be held at the residence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to create a political atmosphere and prepare the ground for the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. PAGD has not been called in this, but NC, PDP and CPI(M) all three are its major constituents.
Apart from Mehbooba, Omar Abdullah, Muzaffar Ahmed Shah of Awami National Conference, Javed Mustafa Mir of People's Movement and Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami of CPI(M) participated in the meeting which continued for about an hour at Dr. Farooq Abdullah's residence on Tuesday. gave his opinion.
Every issue will be discussed
"We will demand in the June 24 meeting that what was ours and is ours should remain with us. We will demand restoration of Article 370 and 35A," PAGD spokesman Mohd Yusuf Tarigami said.
"He said that the health of many leaders like Shabbir Ahmed Shah has deteriorated. All such leaders should be released," he added.
