Noida: After Delhi and Ghaziabad, night curfew has also been announced in the Noida-Greater Noida region. Like Delhi, the night curfew will be applicable from 10 pm to 5 am in the entire district.
In this regard, District Magistrate Suhas LY took a decision on Thursday and afternoon to impose night curfew after meeting with health and district administration officials.
This night curfew will remain in effect till the morning of April 17.
Night curfew has been also announced from 9 pm to 7 am in Ghaziabad district, adjacent to Delhi. The curfew will begin on Friday night.
According to the District Information Officer, the district administration has taken a tough stand regarding the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in Ghaziabad district. District Magistrate Ajay Shankar Pandey has imposed the night curfew till April 17.
Orders have also been issued regarding the closure of all educational institutions - schools, colleges, coaching centers - in the Ghaziabad district by April 17. Educational institutions in which the examinations or practical tests are going on will open on the day of the test.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had held a review meeting with officials through video conferencing on Wednesday to prevent COVID-19 infection in 13 sensitive districts.
