Kolkata: The campaign for West Bengal Election 2021 s in full swing. However, in view of the coronavirus pandemic, the leaders of all the parties are advancing the dates of their election rallies.
BJP leader and Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad made a big announcement between the West Bengal Election 2021, saying that fast track courts have been set up across the country to prevent sexual offenses against children.
The Center has provided 50 per cent funds for these fast track courts and the remaining amount will have to be provided by the different state governments. The minister said that 123 fast track courts have been approved for West Bengal.
West Bengal Chief minister Mamata Banerjee also targeted
According to media reports, Ravi Shankar Prasad said that he wrote repeatedly to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to give consent for the fast track courts. Despite this, no answer came.
"Mamta Banerjee is a woman chief minister. What is her problem with the fast track court?" Prasad said.
The minister said that 27 states of the country have accepted it and work has started, but in West Bengal it has been pending for the last three years.
The West Bengal Election 2021 is being held in eight phases
First phase voting on March 27
Second phase voting on April 1
Third phase voting on 6 April
Fourth phase voting on April 10
Fifth phase voting on April 17
Sixth phase voting on April 22
Voting for the seventh and final phase is scheduled on April 26 and seventh on April 29.
The counting of votes will take place on May 2.
