Ayodhya: The Bhoomi Pujan for the construction of the Shri Ram Temple was held here on Wednesday (August 5).
Grand events have been planned to mark the occasion. Vedic rituals for Wednesday's program started on Monday.
Special prayers to Lord Shri Ram are being held on Tuesday. A total of 11 priests were involved in this puja, which were held for 6 hours. All the methods of worship were done inside the premises of the Ram Janambhoomi Temple.
At the same time, the monolithic text of the Ramcharit Manas is being read in the temples of Ayodhya from today.
Worship of Lord Hanuman in Hanumangarhi Temple
Apart from this, special prayers to Lord Hanuman were organised at the Hanumangarhi Temple from 8 am on Tuesday. This is called 'Nishan Poojan'. It is believed that by worshiping Lord Hanuman, permission will be obtained to worship at the Shri Ram Temple. That is why the worship of Lord Hanuman will be done before the Bhoomi Pujan.
In this puja, the flag of Lord Hanuman was worshiped. This is the original flag of Lord Hanuman ji at the Hanumangarhi Temple. This puja is so special that it is done only on special occasions at the Hanumangarhi Temple.
Celebration of Deepotsav festival
The festival of Deepotsav also began in Ayodhya from Tuesday in order to celebrate the construction of the Ram Mandir. The two-day Deepotsav will be celebrated in Ayodhya on Tuesday and Wednesday. Preparations for this program had started much earlier.
The entire Ayodhya has been decorated to celebrate the commencement of the construction of the Ram Mandir. The temples will be lighted from Tuesday itself and appeals have also been made to the common people to light lamps at their homes. Lighting has also been done on most of the roads leading to the temple of Ayodhya, which will bring out the look like Diwali this evening.
Tight security, borders sealed
Tight security arrangements have been made in Ayodhya before August 5. Security forces have been deployed in Ayodhya in huge numbers. The boundaries of Ayodhya have been sealed from Tuesday. Only those who are residents of Ayodhya or those who have special permission will be allowed to enter the city.
