Chennai: The AIADMK has released its manifesto for the Tamil Nadu Election 2021 and in an attempt to woo women voters in the state has been cristal clear through its promises and announcements.

Women in every household will be offered Rs 1500 every month to increasing maternity leave. Several schemes explained in the Manifesto are in favor of women.

The announcement made regarding the money provided to every household every month was done ahead of the release of the manifesto. In addition, in an attempt to reduce everyday strain, the party has announced free washing machines and free solar stoves.

Since most of the household work is done by women, it is only fair when an attempt has been made to reduce the exertion. Moreover, six free gas cylinders have also been promised to every household.

In addition, the AIADMK has made an announcement to reduce 50% in ticket fees for women on city buses. They have also promised maternity leave for almost 1 year and assured an increase in maternity benefits from Rs 18000 to Rs 21000.

In consideration to women’s security, they have also promised to extend the Amma petrol team to districts other than Chennai. An increase in the favor of child protection schemes have also been promised from Rs 50,000 to Rs 70,000.

Moreover, in order to make women financially independent, the party has also assured self-help groups to secure loans and a digital place to sell their products.

In the past elections, the AIADMK has been able to secure votes from women voters. This all happened due to the presence of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa who had immensely supported this demographic.
