In UP, Muslim bureaucrat chants 'Jai Sri Ram' ,know why he did it

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh State Information Commissioner Hafiz Usman created a sensation  by raising  slogans usually associated  with right wing Hindu outfits. At an official function Usman had shouted ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.

This happened at Panchayat Bhawan in Moradabad, where Usaman was invited to speak at a RTI-related function at the Panchayat Bhawan in Moaradabad. He was the chief guest, while several top officers including Commissioner, DM and DIG were present at the function.

When Usman started speaking,  he dwelled  on the issue of triple talaq, and agitatedly too. He voiced concern about the victims of triple talaq. He then went on say that India is the most  free country in the world, comparing Indian environment with the strict censorship in Saudi Arabia.

At this point of time, the programme coordinator asked him to stay from religious issues. Usman got angry at this, and grabbed the mike twice after that. And out of frustration, in the end he raised the “Jai Shri Ram” slogans.
