IIM-B launches programme for healthcare professionals

Bengaluru, IIM-Bangalore (IIM-B) today announced the launch of a certificate programme in general management for healthcare professionals, in collaboration with Apollo Medskills.

The programme will be formally launched on August 2 at the IIM-B campus.

IIM-B in a release said, the programme has been well received by the healthcare sector and has attracted a large number of applications from a highly competent pool of aspirants from various sections of the healthcare industry.

Stating that a selection committee carried out a careful examination of each application, it said selection for the first batch of 35 participants to the programme was based on the candidate's profile and fit with the programme's mission and objectives.

The committee kept in mind the requirement to ensure adequate batch diversity in terms of background as well as experience, it added.


            NOIW pitches for second pension option for LIC staff National Organisation of Insurance Workers (NOIW), employees organisation of Life Insurance Corporation (LIC), today made a demand for second pension option for staff of the the largest insurance firm.

Only a fraction of employees have remained away from pension option and this issue is before the LIC management for for over a decade, NOIW general secretary M A Bapat said in a statement.

Renter's Insurance is a popular product in the West. Nearly one-third of tenants in the US have renters insurance to cover their liability and their personal property inside the rented house.            MobiKwik ties up with IRCTC  MobiKwik today announced tie up with Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) wherein the mobile payments company will power e-cash payments on IRCTC's e-catering app, Food on Track.

The app allows passengers to book and get food from their preferred restaurants, delivered right at their train coaches.

Passengers can pre-order food at over 300 stations from food chains.

IRCTC is a subsidiary of the Indian Railways that handles the catering, tourism and online ticketing operations.
