Hyderabad: The counting for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections has seen the TRS turn the tables on the BJP.

Now the TRS is doing well once again. The TRS has taken an edge over BJP in the trends so far.

The ruling TRS is leading in 67 seats out of 150 seats. Owaisi's party AIMIM leads in 35 seats while BJP is ahead in 37 seats. At the same time, Congress is ahead in only 4 seats.

The way BJP has shown strength in the election campaign here seems to be of little use. In the 2016 elections, BJP had got only 4 seats. Earlier, during the election campaign, all the parties had put a lot of pressure, but for the first time, BJP also put all the strength in a municipal election to gain a foothold in Owaisi's stronghold.

All big leaders including Home Minister Amit Shah, party president JP Nadda and Yogi campaigned. The picture of who will win today will be clear by noon. Voting was held on 150 wards of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation election.

This is a battle of prestige between the BJP and AIMIM. In the last election, TRS got 99 seats, AIMIM got 44 seats and BJP got only 4 seats.

There is huge enthusiasm in the BJP about the results of the Hyderabad civic election. BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra tweeted 'Bhagyanagar', tweeting the photo of Mata Lakshmi.

During the election campaign in Hyderabad, UP CM Yogi Adityanath had talked about changing the name of Hyderabad to Bhagyanagar, while Owaisi said in retaliation that the name of Yogi will be changed, but the name of Hyderabad city will not change.
