Mumbai: After the death of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, there has been an almost continuous demand for an inquiry by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the matter.
Sushant Singh Rajput's father KK Singh has spoken to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar regarding this issue and has demanded a CBI probe in the case.
Nitish Kumar himself had said earlier that if Sushant Singh Rajput's father, who has lodged an FIR in this case, demands a CBI inquiry, he will put forward the proposal to the concerned authorities.
Sushant Singh Rajput's sister has also urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene in this matter. Sushant Singh Rajput had committed suicide at his Mumbai residence on June 14.
However, since his death, his fans have been alleging that he was forced to end his own life due to mental pressure from several people in Bollywood and some others.
According to official sources, the government has recommended for the CBI inquiry after Sushant Singh's father K.K. Singh demanded for it.
Sushant Singh's brother and BJP MLA Neeraj Kumar Bablu thanked Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for recommending the CBI inquiry and said that now the truth will come out.
On Monday, the Sushant Singh suicide case was raised in the Bihar assembly and almost all lawmakers demanded a CBI inquiry into the matter.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14.
The Mumbai police had claimed that Sushant Singh died by suicide.
However, on July 25, Sushant's father lodged a case in Patna and now Bihar Police is also investigating the case.
