Indian Railways introduces 'baby berths', receives mixed reactions from netizens

New Delhi: To make the journey more comfortable for mothers travelling with their babies, Indian Railways has introduced a baby berth in trains. On Mother's Day, the Lucknow Division of Northern Railways experimented with a baby berth in coach No.194129/B4, berths 12 and 60. The infant seat is collapsible and has a safety stopper. The new experiment by the authorities has been receiving mixed reactions from the netizens. 

"A baby berth has been introduced in Coach no 194129/ B4, berth no 12 and 60 in Lucknow Mail, to facilitate mothers traveling with their baby. Fitted baby seat is foldable about hinge and is secured with a stopper," tweeted DRM, Lucknow Division of Northern Railway zone.

Railways have installed this special berth in one compartment on a trial basis and are awaiting passenger feedback for the same.  The new experiment by the authorities has been receiving mixed reactions from the netizens. See some of the reactions here
