Chandigarh: The Haryana education department announced reopening of schools for classes 10, 11 and 12 across the state maintaining all the COVID-19 norms strictly on campus. The schools can go with offline learning for these classes from February 1.
State Education Minister Kanwar Pal tweeted, "Schools to open for students of classes 10th, 11th and 12th from Feb 1 in Haryana."
The previous order directed that the schools in Haryana remain closed till January 26, 2022, while, the classes would be conducted in online mode.
Earlier this week, the minister informed that they are planning to continue physical classes with 33 per cent capacity of students in each class on different days if the Coronavirus cases, across the state, goes down.
As per the media reports, Pal informed that approximately 75 per cent of students have been vaccinated with at least the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
Haryana on Tuesday reported 6,029 new Covid-19 cases and 19 deaths. The positivity rate of the day was reported to be 18.50 per cent.
