Bhiwani Boxing Club (BBC)
Credit goes to Sports Authority of India coach and former Indian boxer for making this boxing club. Established by two-time Asian Games gold medallist and 11-time National champion Hawa Singh, it is known as Little Cuba in India as it trains a large number of boxers.
Four of the five boxers who represented India in Beijing Olympics in the year 2008 were from this boxing club. Akhil Kumar and Jitender Kumar qualified for the quarterfinals, while Vijender Singh won a bronze medal for the country.
Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports
Located in Patiala, it is Asia’s largest sports institute and also known as "Mecca" of Indian sports which has produced coaches of extraordinary talent who have assisted many teams in national and international competitions.
The sports training institute consist of cycling velodrome, gymnasium, indoor halls, squash courts, conditioning units, hockey fields including both grass & synthetic, athletic track including both cinder & synthetic & outdoor courts. Swimming pool, Sauna Bath, Steam Bath and Hydrotherapy facilities are also available for players’ recovery.
Bhaichung Bhutia Football Schools
An initiative started by former Indian skipper Bhaichung Bhutia along with Football by Carlos Queiroz (FBCQ). BBFS helps to guide children between the ages of 5 and 15 with the assistance of Portugal coaches to better their football skills. Over 20-30 % of the students enrolled in this school are from underprivileged sections of the society.
Sports Authority of India
Created by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, initiative taken by Government of India in 1984. SAI has seven regional centres across the country like Bangalore, Bhopal, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Mumbai and Imphal, Kolkata, Sonepat, and two sub-centres at Guwahati and Aurangabad.
Apart from this SAI also has two academic wings which provide certified courses in physical education, sports and sports medicine - Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports at Patiala for coaches and the Lakshmibai National College of Physical Education at Thiruvananthapuram.
MRF Pace Foundation
Young aspiring fast bowlers from around the world are trained here by Dennis Lillee in Chennai. Well-known players who have trained at this institute include Javagal Srinath, RP Singh, Irfan Pathan, Munaf Patel, Zaheer Khan, Venkatesh Prasad.
International players like Glenn McGrath, Brett Lee and Mitchell Johnson have also taken training at this foundation. McGrath was appointed the director of the foundation in the year 2012.
Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy
This academy was started in 1994 by Prakash Padukone, Vimal Kumar and Vivek Kumar and is located in Bangalore. It provides top class training to young players who are selected to the Academy on a merit basis and facilities are provided on a scholarship basis.
Various national and international champions have been trained here.
Mahesh Bhupathi Tennis Academy
After winning several tournaments across the world as a doubles player, Mahesh has taken this initiative to share his experience with kids and adults in the same field he has mastered. He started this school in order to make sure that children get exposed to the game very early in their lives.
The main objective of the academy is to increase the accessibility of the game and ensuring that every person across all socio-economic groups have the opportunity to experience the joy of tennis. This academy has over 35 centres spread all over the country guiding almost 8000 children.
Mary Kom boxing academy
Boxing academy set up in Imphal by a 5-time World Champion Mary Kom encourages more people to take up the sport. After setting this academy she said that her dream is to create many, many more Mary Koms.
Academy is also run by crowdfunding to generate money to ensure better facilities at the academy.

Set up by Gagan Narang and Pawan Singh in Balewadi, Pune to identify potential medal winners for India in shooting.
The complex provides world-class infrastructure to ensure the best coaching for athletes. Academy has a bunch of best foreign Coaches, a foreign Grip Maker, Gun testing facility, utilization of SCATT, video analyzers, Sports Injury Management Team, Physiotherapist, Yoga Guru, Dietician, Masseur, Equipment control & Psychologist and many other facilities.
Gopichand Badminton Academy
Founded in 2001 by Pullela Gopichand All England Open badminton champion in Hyderabad. The facility has trained the likes of Saina Nehwal, P V Sindhu, Arundhati Pantawane, Guru Sai Dutt, Parupalli Kashyap, and Arun Vishnu.
Set up with US$2.5 million this badminton academy includes eight courts, a swimming pool, weight training room, cafeteria and rooms to sleep.
Apart from training this academy also served as a venue for a tournament in 2009 while in 2009 BWF World Championships it was used as a training venue.
