Great Indian jugaad, hooters, sirens replaces beacon

New Delhi: Our politicians provide best examples of jugaad. With a ban on ''laal batti' since Monday they have come out with the second best option. Put hooters and sirens on top of the vehicle. Netas of two states-- Madhya Pradesh and Telangana  are doing this. Not willing to fall in tow with the common man, the experiments are aplenty.

In Maharashtra also the netas are exploring all options. Minister of state for home Deepak Kesarkar has written to the state DGP to look for other options, which do not violate the new rules.Under Section 119 of CMVR only ambulances, fire brigades and police vehicles can use them. The Central Motor Vehicle Rules does not provide for use of siren or hooter in any vehicle.
