New Delhi: After the Govt has made it mandatory for all telecom operators to re-verify its user's mobile numbers with 12-digit Aadhaar issued by UIDAI. Telecom operators like Airtel, Idea and Vodafone have been alerting its users to link Aadhaar with the phone number to avoid disconnection of the services. This process is just mandatory for those users who have purchased SIM by other documents other than Aadhar card. The process of linking mobile number with Aadhaar is free of cost but in offline mode.
Here're the steps that one can follow to link their mobile number with Aadhaar
Step 1 User needs to visit their telecom operator store with their Aadhaar Card
Step 2 Request the concerned person there to link your Aadhaar number with the mobile number after you fill up a re-verification form.
Step 3 Then authorised person will send a verification code on the number which user needs to verify.
Step 4 Then the user needs to provide the verification code to the operator
Step 5 Then the user will be asked for their bio-metric expressions
Step 6 After which user will receive a confirmation message and user needs to simply type Y & send it to them
Total verification process will take 24 hours to complete
In case a user has more than one connection, the user needs to just provide all numbers individually instead of providing biometric every time at the store
