Google was given a notice by Allahabad district court for lisiting Prime Minister Narendra Modi among 'top 10 criminals in the world'.
Court was hearing a complaint against the renowned search engine filed by lawyer Sushil Kumar Mishra. According to Mishra, an image of Modi appears when the words '10 criminals of the world' are typed on the search engine.
Mishra said that he had approached Google in this regard but received no response. He had moved an application before the chief judicial magistrate (CJM) but his plea was dismissed on November 3, 2015, on the grounds that it was a civil case.
He then challenged CJM’s order by filing a revision application in court which allowed the revision application and passed the order, reported Times of India. The next date of hearing is on 31 August.
