New Delhi: Will we or will we not, is the question bugging every bike lover when it comes to the launch of the cheapest Harley Davidson cruiser in India.
But, as is rumoured ad as a few websites have hinted at, we might finally see an affordable Harley that will not just rival the legacy of Enfield-Bullet, but will give them a fair run for their money. And why not? Harley Davidson carries equal legacy factor and more reliability at that.
The new unit could sport an engine in the range of 300cc to 350 cc and make a thumping power of around 30HP. This engine is a V-Twin. Enfield Classic 350 makes a way meagre 20BHP.
Called Baby Harley, the new bike, the specs and pics were leaked on the worldwide web recently, sports a rounded headlamp, the Harley way. It is expected to be an all-out LED unit.
The seat is a small cooped-up cushioned unit for the rider, while there is not much for a meatier pillion. The instrument cluster is again to be a totally digital one.
The stopping unit or brakes will be state-of-the-art dual channel ABS (Anti-lock braking system).
While the global launch of the model is expected to be towards the end of this year, there is still hope for India as Harley-Davidson, after pulling the shutters down on their Haryana factory, have decided to partner-up with Hero Moto Corp.
