New Delhi (Anish Yande): Asus would be unveiling the successor to the Asus ROG Phone 3 in the next month. Asus ROG Phone 3 was launched in July 2020. The ASUS ROG Phone 5 is expected to launch on March 10, according to a new webpage by Asus. The webpage indicates that the launch event would be held at 4:30 PM IST on March 10.
Expected Specs and features of Asus ROG Phone 5:
The Asus ROG Phone 5 comes with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display equipped with a high refresh rate of 144 Hz. The ROG Phone 5 could come with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a pixel density of 380 ppi. The ROG device is expected to come with a screen-to-body ratio of 84.5 percent.
ROG Phone 5 is likely to come with HDR10+ support and a touch sampling rate of 1ms.
The Asus device is expected to feature a triple rear camera setup. The rear camera setup is expected to come with a primary sensor of 64-megapixels. The camera setup comes with a recording support of 8K at 30fps.
ASUS ROG Phone 5 is expected to run on an overclocked Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset.
The ROG Phone could pack a 6,000 mAh battery with fast charging support of up to 65W. ASUS ROG Phone 5 is most likely to run on ROG UI based on Android 11 OS.
Connectivity features of the ASUS ROG Phone 5 include 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth v5.1, Mobile Hotspot, USB Type-C port, dual-band WiFi, GPS, and a Type-C port. Other features include gyro and proximity sensor, and accelerometer. The fingerprint sensor of the ROG Phone 5 is expected to be an under-display sensor.
ASUS ROG Phone 5 is expected to be available in storage variants of 12GB RAM with 256GB storage and 16GB RAM with 512GB internal storage.
