Rourkela: Four terrorists of Students' Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), who had fled from Khandwa jail in Madhya Pradesh, were arrested by the Odisha Police on Wednesday morning.
The four terrorists were apprehended following a three-hour long joint-operation by the Odisha Police, Telangana Police and the Intelligence Bureau.
The four accused have been identified as Mohd Khalid, Amjad Khan, Zakir Hussein and S Mahboob and the Police have recovered weapons and ammunition from their procession.
The SIMI operatives escaped from a jail in MP's Khandwa district in 2013 and police teams of multiple states have been looking for them since then.
They were also on the radar of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in connection with the Bijnor blast case.
