Fake currency worth Rs 6 lakh seized in Delhi, 2 arrested

New Delhi:  Delhi police seized counterfeit currency worth over 6 lakhs that were brought to India from Nepal on Saturday.

Initial Input indicates, Pakistan’s ISI link in pumping these fake notes into the country, from neighbouring country Nepal.

Delhi police have arrested two persons so far in this case.

This is the first time that police have busted counterfeit currency that reached India via Nepal route.

Cases of fake currency have spurted post demonetisation drive by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 8.
