New Delhi: Actress Yami Gautam recently announced that she has tied the knot with "Uri" director Aditya Dhar in a private ceremony. The actress recently shared a new photo from their intimate wedding to wish her mom on her birthday. In the picture, Yami can be seen dressed in her bridal ensemble as she poses with her mom and sister Surilie Gautam, who is also an actress.
Sharing the picture, Yami wrote "Every day we become a little bit more like our mother and we couldn't be prouder! Happy birthday mummy." Surilie too posted the same picture on her profile with a caption that read: "Every day we become a little bit more like our mother and we couldn't be prouder. Happy Birthday Mummy." Yami on Monday posted her look as a beautiful newly wed, complete with the traditional pahadi jewellery and ‘mangalsutra’. Yami, who hails from Himachal Pradesh, described her mood with a local song that resonates with the ambience of her home state. "Rind posh maal gindane draaye lo lo," wrote Yami, which means heralding the spring season. "Let's welcome the spring season," Yami added to her caption.

Yami and Aditya married in a very intimate ceremony with very few people present following the Covid-19 guidelines. For the unversed, Aditya Dhar made his directorial debut with ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’. He won the 66th National Film Awards in 2019 for directing the film. Uri starred actor Vicky Kaushal in the lead role. While Yami made her Bollywood debut with Vicky Donor and shot to fame with the film. Over the years, she has worked in several big Bollywood films including Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil and Varun Dhawan-starrer Badlapur. She will be seen next in an upcoming direct-to-digital thriller, A Thursday. Yami will be essaying the role of a school teacher, Naina, in the film.
