New Delhi: Samantha Ruth Prabhu left everyone gasping for air with her sizzling dance number Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava for Pushpa: The Rise. However, it also garnered a lot of controversies as a section of the public did not approve of the song's lyrics. While Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava, received mixed emotions, a new report suggests that it took a lot of convincing to get Samantha on board the Pushpa song. It was Samantha's first item number and Pushpa’s lead star Allu Arjun personally convinced her for the song. The report also added that she charged Rs 5 crore for the three-minute song.
The song had Samantha dancing with Allu Arjun wearing glamorous costumes to match the peppy mood of the song. The video song has been achieved 75 million views on YouTube in less than a month of its release.
As per reports, a Men’s Association filed a lawsuit against the makers of Pushpa and also filed a complaint against them for portraying men in a certain light. Following the complaint the makers made the video version private and the lyrical version was still available on YouTube.
The film’s male lead Allu Arjun was asked about the backlash received by the song at a press event. He said, “It’s true. Whatever is written in the song is true."
Pushpa: The rise stars Allu Arjun as the titular character alongside Fahadh Faasil (in his Telugu debut) and Rashmika Mandanna while Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Sunil, Rao Ramesh, Dhananjaya, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Ajay and Ajay Ghosh play supporting roles.
