Pathab will see Shah Rukh Khan's return to to the big screen after his 2018 film Zero which failed at the box office.
New Delhi: Bollywood superstars Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan recently shot for their scenes that will feature them together in Pathan. While Shah Rukh plays the protagonist in the film, Salman will make a short appearance. The film will see Shah Rukh Khan's return to to the big screen after his 2018 film Zero which failed at the box office.
Shah Rukh and Salman, once good friends, were indulged in a feud for a long time and were spotted maintaining their distances from each other. However, the two made amends when Salman's sister Arpita Khan invited Shah Rukh to her wedding, saying he's as much of a brother to her as Salman. Since then, the actors have been captured together on multiple occasions. While Shah Rukh Khan came to Salman Khan hosted show Bigg Boss and film Tubelight, Salman made a cameo in Shah Rukh's Zero.
On Thursday, reports surfaced that Shah Rukh and Salman's cars were parked next to each other outside Yashraj Studios in Mumbai, hinting that the two have started shooting for Pathan. While wrapping up the fourteenth season of reality show Bigg Boss, Salman had confirmed that he will soon be shooting for the Shah Rukh-starrer. "Life goes on, show goes on. When this show ends, I will move to Pathan, then Tiger (3) and later to Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali," he said.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, Pathan also stars Deepika Padukone, Dimple Kapadia and John Abaraham. While an official announcement of the film is still awaited, Deepika in an interview confirmed that she is indeed working on a project with Shah Rukh, titled Pathan. “So, I immediately started with Shakun Batra’s film, which is a relationship story that we haven’t seen in Indian cinema before. Then there is Pathan, an action film with Shah Rukh Khan, next is Nag Ashwin’s multilingual film with Prabhas," Deepika had said.
'Pathan' went on floors in November last year and is scheduled to release in 2022.
