Rukmini Maitra to debut in Bollywood with Vidyut Jammwal in 'Sanak', poster releases

Sanak Poster Release: On Republic Day, the heartthrob of Bollywood, Vidyut Jammwal reported his upcoming film titled Sanak: Hope Under Seige, it would stamp Vidyut's collaboration with Vipul Shah for the fifth time and the debut of Bengali actor Rukmini Maitra. We have also learnt that this film would be the remake of a popular Hollywood action film, John Q., it is a 2002 American thriller drama film starring Denzel Washington, directed by Nick Cassavetes. The film tells the story of John Quincy Archibald, a father and husband whose son is diagnosed with an enlarged heart and who finds out he is unable to receive a transplant because HMO insurance will not cover it before he decides to hold up the hospital and force them to do it.

Vidyut has recently released the posters of Sanak on his Instagram. The film would be the remake of John Q., "Sanak is an action-thriller revolving around a lone hero who fights overwhelming odds in a restricted environment. It's the official remake of Denzel Washington's critically-acclaimed 2002 Hollywood film John Q. The film has already gone on floors in Mumbai and will be completed by mid-March to hit cinemas in the second half of this year." sources leaked. Yes, it would show the story of a father going to great heights to save his son. So Vidyut would be essaying the role of the father while Rukmini will play the mother. The film would also star Chandan Roy Sanyal and Amol Gupte. It would be helmed by Kanishk Verma. Apart from Sanak, Vidyut would be seen in Khuda Hafiz 2. Are you excited about this one?

The film will be released under the banner of  Zee Studios and Sunshine Pictures Pvt. Ltd. Film will be directed by Kanishk Varma and produced by Vipul Shah. It is an action-thriller movie starring Vidyut Jamwal, Rukmini Maitra, Neha Dhupia and Chandan Roy Sanyal.

Rukmini Maitra is a famous Bengali actress and is also known to be the rumoured girl of Tollywood superstar Dev.  The duo has co-starred in hits including Chaamp, Cockpit, Kabir, Kidnap and Password. Rukmini is now all set to make her Bollywood debut in Sanak. Announcing the news, Vidyut tweeted on Monday: “Brace yourself, something big is coming tomorrow!
