Both Kohli and Hardik were with the national cricket team in Australia but returned home to be with their families for New Year. Both, Indian former and current captains have hosted dinner parties for their friends. Mahendra Singh Dhoni was in Dubai with wife Sakshi for New Year's, when the news about Chahal and Dhanashree being in Dubai got confirmed they invited the newlyweds over and welcomed the New Year 2021 together.
