New Delhi: Actress Kangana Ranaut's Twitter account has been suspended. This decision comes after she recently posted tweets against the regulation guidelines on Twitter. In a series of tweets, Kangana was criticizing Mamata Banerjee for the violence that took place in the state following the announcement of Assembly Elections results on Sunday (May 2). It is said that Kangana's tweet violated the rules of the platform.
Kangana has already been trending on social media with netizens sharing their thoughts on the suspension of Kangana's account. While one user wrote, "Breaking: Twitter has tested negative for Kangana Ranaut". While Kangana's Twitter account stands suspended, the actress took to her Instagram handle to share a video on how the violence has left her Distressed, beyond words, death of democracy.
Talking about her Workfront, Kangana's film Thalaivi's trailer was recently released. It is a biopic on actor-turned-politician Jayalalithaa and Kangana will be essaying the role of former chief minister of Tamil Nadu. The first song from Thalaivi was released on April 2. The trilingual film which will release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu is directed by AL Vijay, and it also features Arvind Swami, Prakash Raj, Madhoo and Bhagyashree in key roles. The film’s theatrical release got postponed this month due to a surge in coronavirus cases. Apart from Thalaivi, Kangana also has Dhaakad, Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda and Tejas in the pipeline.
