New Delhi, Aug 8: Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre Behl recently revealed she has been diagnosed with "high grade" cancer and is currently undergoing treatment in New York. The actress is responding well to the treatment as disclosed by her loving hubby. She even celebrated her birthday with close buddies from the film industry which included Sussane Khan, and Gayatri Joshi.
The 43-year-old actor called the diagnosis a "curveball" but said her family and close friends have rallied around her and they remain "optimistic" in this difficult time.
"Sometimes, when you least expect it, life throws you a curveball. I have recently been diagnosed with a high grade cancer that has metastised, which we frankly did not see coming. A niggling pain led to some tests, which led to this unexpected diagnosis.
"My family and close friends have rallied around me, providing the best support system that anyone can ask for. I am very blessed and thankful for each of them," Sonali said in a statement.
The actor, the latest Bollywood celebrity to be diagnosed with cancer after Irrfan Khan, said she is taking the battle head on.
Sonali is not seen in any film for a long time. However, she keeps appearing in a few advertisements and often spotted in many Bollywood parties.
Sonali has been a famous actress of 90s era and later she got settled down with Goldie Behl with whom she has son. Sonali's son name is Ranveer who is 13-year-old.
Sonali oten shares pictures of her home which get viral on social media. Her home has been designed by Sussanne and her furniture is designed by Abu Jani and Sandip Khosla.
