From sharing throwback pictures to posting pictures from their at-home Holi celebration, Bollywood celebrities have opted for different ways to wish fans on Holi.
New Delhi: Happy Holi 2021, everyone! The festival of colours has finally arrived today. Though the charm of Holi is a bit dull this year, due to the COVID-19, many are taking to social media to spread cheers on the festival. From sharing throwback pictures to posting pictures from their at-home Holi celebration, Bollywood celebrities have opted for different ways to wish fans on Holi.
Actress Kangana Ranaut who is currently shooting for her upcoming film Tejas in Jaisalmer celebrated the festival of colours with her team. She took to her Twitter handle and wished her fans on holi and also gave a glimpse of her celebrations. She posted, "Holi ke din dil khil jaate hai rangon mein rang mil jaate hai... We are having a working Holi tom but nothing can stop us from pre Holi and Holika celebrations. This is my squad aka my family I wasn’t born with but u choose to keep."
Priyanka Chopra celebrated Holi with husband Nick Jonas and his parents in London, where she is shooting for her upcoming series Citadel. Sharing photos from their special Holi party, the global star wrote, ""Holi, the festival of colours is one of my favourites Hope we can all celebrate it with our loved ones, but in our HOMES! #HappyHoli everyone."
Sanjay Dutt celebrated Holi with his family and he also advised fans to stay at home. He shared a picture on Instagram with his family and wrote, "Keep the celebrations at home this year for the safety of your loved ones. Wishing you all a very Happy Holi."
Bollywood loved couple Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza also celebrated the festival, and Genelia shared a video on Instagram where the two are smeared with colours. They let their hair down and had a blast as Akshay Kumar's Sajde Kiye Hain Lakhon played in the background. Genelia shared the video with the caption, "Find your own way to make festivals special (following all Covid restrictions)- even if it’s small and intimate, it’s the spirit that counts Happy Holi".
Karan Johar shared pictures of his twins Yash and Roohi and his mother Hiroo Johar, celebrating Holi at their home. He wrote, "Organic Safe and still celebratory !!! Happy Holi to everyone !!! Let the colours of the festival change the grey and dark times forever."
Soha Ali Khan also wished her fans and shared a post on Instagram of her daughter Inaaya Naumi Kemmu being sprayed with a water gun. Captioning it she wrote, "Favourite festival by far!! #happyholi"
Abhishek Bachchan took to his Instagram handle and shared a throwback picture of his Holi celebration with his daughter Aaradhya and wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. He wrote, "A throwback to safer and more carefree times. Happy Holi everyone. Please celebrate this most beautiful festival, but from the safety of your homes. The number of Covid-19 cases are on the rise and we have to remain disciplined. Stay home, eat gujjias, take the blessings of your parents and take care of your family. #MyGirls,"
Actor Anushka Sharma wished her fans and asked them to stay indoors and safe. She shared an Instagram story writing, "Sending everyone lots of love and light on the occasion of Holi Please stay indoors and safe!"
Neha Dhupia also celebrated Holi with husband Angad Bedi and daughter Mehr Dhupia Bedi. Sharing a video from holi celebration, she wrote, "#happyholi ... all our love".
