Happy birthday Javed Akhtar: Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar wish 'forever cowboy'

New Delhi: Veteran lyricist, poet and screenwriter Javed Akhtar has turned a year older today. Turning 77, he has received some special wishes from his family. His son and actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar took to Instagram to share a heartwarming wish for his dad. 

The Rock On actor shared a throwback priceless photo of Javed Akhtar. In the black and white picture, a young Javed can be seen standing and staring at the sea. Along with sharing the photo, Farhan also poured in some words of appreciation for his father, calling him 'restless and curious'. Farhan's Instagram post received a whole lot of love from fans and, of course, from girlfriend Shibani Dandekar.

"This is how I’ve always known you to be .. thoughtful, restless, curious and always searching for what’s beyond the obvious. Hope you realise how many you’ve inspired to try and live that way. Happy birthday [email protected]"

Javed Akhtar's daughter and filmmaker Zoya Akhtar also wished her father on social media. Taking to Instagram, the Gully Boy director shared a sketch of the poet and called him 'forever cowboy'. 

Meanwhile, Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar are taking the big plunge soon. According to reports, the duo will start a new chapter in their life on February 21, 2022. They will reportedly have a court wedding amid the spiraling cases of coronavirus disease across the country.
