New Delhi: Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif on Tuesday informed her fans that she has tested positive for novel coronavirus. There was speculation that the shoot of her upcoming movie 'Tiger 3' will be halted. But according to a media report, the shoot of Maneesh Sharma directorial 'Tiger 3' is continuing as planned with Salman Khan at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai. For those unversed Salman Khan along with Katrina has been shooting for the film since March 8.
As per the source “Katrina shot for Tiger 3 a week back and is scheduled to join again from the end of April for a few days. This was always a part of the original shooting plan of the film, so there is no delay in the shoot of Tiger 3. Right now, Salman is finishing his solo portions with Maneesh and the shoot is going on in full swing” The source also stated that there was the strict implementation of corona guidelines in the premises of Yash Raj Studios. “From constant sanitisation, to compulsory mask and Covid-test at regular interval for the cast and crew, Aditya Chopra is following strict measures on the set to be safe and avoid any sort of lapse. All the sets and equipment’s are also sanitised multiple times to curb the possibility of virus spread. All the govt. prescribed guidelines are being strictly adhered to on the sets,” the source added.
In Tiger 3, Emraan Hashmi will play the villain. It was also reported that Emraan will be seen fighting Salman Khan in the film. Salman reprises his titular role of RAW agent in the film and Katrina Kaif will also return in the role of his wife and ISI agent Zoya. The film will be helmed by Maneesh Sharma and its budget is reported to be around Rs 350 crore.
Talking about Katrina's professional front, she is awaiting the release of Sooryavanshi, co-starring Akshay Kumar. Directed by Rohit Shetty and co-produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Production, the film is all set to release on April 30, after a delay of almost a year due the ongoing pandemic. The actress is also part of Phone Bhoot, a horror comedy film starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter.
