New Delhi: Upcoming romantic comedy, I Want You Back, will star Charlie Day, Jenny Slate, Gina Rodriguez, Scott Eastwood, Clark Backo and Manny Jacinto in lead roles, as per a statement released by director Jason Orley. The film has been co-written by This Is Us co-showrunners Issac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger. The film will go on floors from next month in Atlanta. "I immediately fell in love with Isaac and Elizabeth's funny, heartfelt script," said director Orley.
The story will follow the story of a woman, Emma, played by Slate and a man, Peter, portrayed by Day, who thought they have got it all figured out from marriage to kids to a house in suburbs and everything that defines la la land. However, their worlds turn upside down when their respective partners dump them.
The ensemble cast is rounded out with Jami Gertz, Jordan Carlos, Lauren Halperin, Midori Francis, Mason Gooding and Isabel May. The film has been produced by Amazon Studios.
