New Delhi: The coronavirus scare has shooked the world including the Bollywood industry. Now, many stars have come out to spread safety and awareness. Recently, the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, nominated Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra for the challenge amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Deepika took to her Twitter as she shared a video in which she can be seen washing her hands in forward and backward strokes. In the video, Deepika can be seen wearing a mask while she shows how to wash hands properly. At the end of the video, Deepika rinsed her hand properly and winked her camera while she wipes her hands using a towel.
Sharing the video, Deepika wrote: "Thank You @DrTedros, for nominating me for the #SafeHands Challenge! #COVID19 surely is an uphill health and public safety task, but all of us are in this fight together! I further nominate @rogerfederer,@Cristiano and @imVkohli to take up this challenge! #coronavirus #StaySafe"
Anushka Sharma was another celebrity to jump the bandwagon and take up the challenge. She also shared a video on her Facebook page in which she can be seen washing her hands. She rinses her hands properly and asks to focus on palms particularly. She also asks people to save water and only open the tap when you clean the soap. Wasting water would lead to another emergency which the world is not prepared for.
Meanwhile, the deadly coronavirus has registered more than 140 positive cases in India with 3 deaths. Schools, Gyms, Malls, and other public places have been shut down for an indefinite period to avoid the spread of the virus.
