Dhoni will make this world record today

Pancham Saude, New Delhi: Former Indian captain and wicketkeeper-batsman will be playing in his 300th ODI match today when Virat Kohli's men turn up at Colombo's R Premadasa Stadium.

Here're some his records that he can better in the series

MS Dhoni has accumulated 9608 runs in 299 ODIs so far, with 65 fifties and 10 hundreds. Earlier in the same series Dhoni has equaled the world record of 99 stumping with  Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara and with two ODIs remaining Dhoni needs just one stumping to reach the three-figure mark in the ODI history.

Analysing last two match performances of Dhoni, he has done incredibly well by taking time and has shown his willingness to perform.

If past records are seen Dhoni playing at No.3 has scored 993 runs out of 16 matches, with 2 hundreds out of his 10 hundreds, including his career best of 183 not out against Sri Lanka.

At No.4 he has seen more success  scoring 1223 runs from 26 matches including a hundred.
