New Delhi: Both good and bad news are coming regarding the coronavirus pandemic.

On the one hand, while there is a decrease in coronavirus cases, data from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare shows that COVID-19 cases are growing rapidly in five states around the country.

The 5 states in which the number of coronavirus cases are rapidly growing are Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan.

Data from the Ministry of Health shows that since November 1, Punjab's active case load has increased by 3,855 cases. The case load of Himachal Pradesh is 5,4069, Madhya Pradesh jumped by 5,842 and Haryana and Rajasthan saw an increase of 6,171 and 13,551 respectively.

The current active cases of these states are Punjab (138,685), Himachal Pradesh (8,918), Madhya Pradesh (17,705), Haryana (20,200) and Rajasthan (30,305).

"These are the states where the Center has engaged specialist teams to help the state government control disease management and other issues," Union Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Rajesh Bhushan said.

However, there is also good news from some states that have managed to curb the growing trend of coronavirus. There is now a decline in active COVID-19 cases. The top five states that have recorded a decline are Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal.

The country has conducted at least 140 million COVID-19 trials, with a cumulative positivity rate of 6.69% and an average daily positivity of 3.72%. There has been a steady decline in the cumulative positivity rate in the last 3 weeks, on November 11, the positivity rate was recorded at 7.19%.

Average daily new cases are 43,152 and average daily recovery cases are 47,159. Bhushan said, "The number of average daily people recovering in the month of November continues to be higher than new cases, which is positive news for the country's Kovid-19 situation, as the overall active cases load is steadily reducing.
