New Delhi, Dec 19: Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati has been wrapped by many controversies and now that it has been keeping out of the headlines.
After the CBFC denied certification of the film condemning the makers exhibiting the film to senior journalists before the CBFC, the Censor body stated a new rule: Filmmakers should submit the film 68 days before screening. Following this, the makers indefinitely deferred the release date of the film.
According to a report, “There’s been no official intimation from the producers. Whenever they plan to release it, we will be happy to give them the promised number of screens.” Another source says, “Once the certificate comes, the producers will decide when they want to release Padmavati. As of now, they’re looking at January 5 and January 12."
