Pancham Saude, New Delhi: It's no wonder that Xiaomi had been working on Redmi 4A successor and the company is expected to announce Redmi Note 5A, which could be a cheaper variant of Redmi Note 5 later this month in China. But ahead of the official announcement, the handset has been leaked once again revealing additional details of the smartphone.
The latest leak suggests that the Redmi Note 5A will be powered by the Snapdragon 425 chipset paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM. The smartphone will run Android 7.1 Nougat based MIUI 9 and will be backed by 3080mAh battery. The smartphone also expected to sport 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The Redmi Note 5A seems like a budget smartphone differentiating it from the Redmi Note 5 primarily in terms of performance and battery life.
Whereas Redmi Note 5, successor to the Redmi Note 4 is expected to feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display powered by a Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 630 platform. The Redmi Note 5 is expected to be launched in two storage variants - 3GB RAM with 32GB ROM variant and 4GB RAM with an option for either 32GB or 64GB ROM variant. The smartphone will sport a 16MP rear camera and a 13MP front camera. It is expected to retail at Rs 12,000 whereas the Redmi Note 5A could be cheaper and will be price tagged around Rs 10,000.
