Update: Prisoner Naveed escaped after firing at police in Srinagar, 1 policeman died

Aasif Suhaf, New Delhi, Feb 6: Breaking: Shootout in SMHS hospital of Srinagar Kashmir, suspected militants fired upon a police party accompanying prisoner. One Pakistani Lashker militant has escaped, said sources to News24.

Update: Prisoner Naveed escaped after firing at police protection party at Shri Maharaja Hari Singh hospital in Srinagar. Abu Hanzulla alias Naveed Jatt was arrested a few months ago in Shopian. 

This was the second attack in less tha 24 hours, this time inside a hospital in Srinagar. While two policemen have been injured, one is critical. Two policemen injured, out of which one is critical.

"Six detainee were being brought from Central Jail. Out of them, one snatched weapons from police an fired at the protection party. One policeman is critically injured an another is injured. The prisoner's name is Naveed. He is probably an outsider," said SSP Srinagar Imtiaz Ismail Parray.
