Kanker: Two BSF jawans were killed and four others were injured in a Naxal encounter in Chhattisgarh's Kanker district on early Saturday morning.
The encounter broke out at around 2:30 am in the morning, when a composite squad of BSF and district force was on a special operation in the interior region of Chhotebethiya-Pakhanjore jungle axis of the Maoist violence hit district.
A joint squad of BSF's 117th and 122nd battalion along with district force launched an anti-Naxal operation from Chhotebethiya camp of BSF in Pakhanjore region. Naxals opened indiscriminate firing on them, injuring 6 BSF personnel.
While two succumbed to their injuries while they were being airlifted to Raipur, four others have been admitted to a hospital in Raipur.
