Cash, gold of Gods will be scrutinised

Bhopal, Dec 5  The government-maintained temples in Madhya Pradesh's Datia district will be audited to collect details about their immovable assets and financial resources, officials said.

At a review meeting on Monday, Additional Collector Ashish Kumar Gupta directed all Tehsildars to list the temples in their zone and present the details related to immovable assets and financial resources.

There are around 1,200 government-maintained temples in Datia district. These temples are those whose priests receive honorarium from the government and are situated on revenue lands or are of princely era.
