The duo of Volkswagen and Orix will offer subscription-based service in the cities like Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad. Read the details.
New Delhi: Volkswagen India has launched subscription-based car ownership program in partnership with Orix, which is an omni channel mobility solutions provider. Volkswagen is offering the Polo, Vento and T-Roc, under the subscription programme.
The duo, according to the agreement will offer subscription-based service in the cities like Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad.
Customers can either choose from the Polo, T-Roc or VentoT-Roc. All-inclusive monthly rental for the Polo has been expected at Rs 16,500, whereas, that for the Vento is Rs 27,000. The T-Roc might be on subscription for Rs 59,000 every month.
Orix will be focusing on 100 percent on-road financing, periodic maintenance and insurance cover of the vehicles under subscription. Customers will have the option to update or return the car as per their convenience too. The cars can be benefit for a period of 24, 36 or 48 months.
The brand director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, Mr Ashish Gupta, stated, “Car subscription is gaining popularity, especially amongst the urban young middle class, looking for a convenient ownership experience. Catering to the needs of this customer segment, we are pleased to extend our partnership with ORIX, and enhance our leasing and subscription platform, that will focus on providing accessibility and peace of mind ownership to prospective customers.”
The company is all set to launch the Taigun midsize SUV on September 23. The Taigun will be the first VW model to be based on the heavily localized MQB-A0-IN platform and arguably the brand's most important product.. Following that, there will be an all-new sedan which replaced the ageing Vento based on the same platform in 2022.
