Volkswagen India announces price hike! Know why

New Delhi: The German carmaker Volkswagen might become the most expensive in January. 

The carmakers have announced an increase in price ranging between 2 percent and 5 percent on the Volkswagen Polo hatch back, Vento compact sedan and Taigun compact SUV. The price hike will come in action from January 1, 2022.

Due to increase in input cost

Let us tell you that the automobile companies have decided to increase the price of their cars citing the increase in input cost. For the past few months, due to semiconductor shortfall, the production of similar cars has come down and due to this the sales have also gone down. 

Now people will have to face more problems due to increase in price.

While Volkswagen Polo sells Vento compact sedan and Taigun compact SUV  in the premium hatchback segment, Volkswagen Tigun is also gaining market share in the midsize SUV segment.

Volkswagen Vento sells well in the sedan segment. The company has not increased the price of the recently launched premium SUV Volkswagen Tiguan.
