New Delhi, Jan 7- Samsung is all set to bring its newly minted Galaxy M-series to India this month. The list is said to include the Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20 as well Galaxy M30. as per the past reports, the Galaxy M10 and M20 will launch first, while the M30 will come in later on. The Galaxy M-series is predicted to be a budget lineup of phones from Samsung, and a new report this week shack some light on just how cheap Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20 as well Galaxy M30 will be.
Based on industry sources, IANS reports that the Galaxy M10 will be available at a price of Rs 9,500 while the M20 will fall somewhere around a price of Rs 15,000. This isn't the original price but more of a ballpark so that we could have a rough idea of what to expect. It seems to be the perfect replacement for the Samsung Galaxy On-series, which is exactly what Samsung is aiming to do. The Galaxy M phones are being manufactured at Samsung's factory which is situated in Noida Uttar Pradesh.
The Galaxy M-series is Samsung's bid to streamline its affordable line by merging the Galaxy On series and Galaxy J series. The Galaxy M will as well look to bring certain unique features that have not been seen on other Samsung phones till now. A similar strategy is also being applied with the Galaxy A-series as well to help boost sales and compete against dominating Chinese brands. Samsung is all set and working hard to dethrone Xiaomi's successful Redmi series in the affordable and pocket-friendly mid-range segment.
To this effect, the Galaxy M phones will bring Infinity-V displays for the first time to this segment. It is also being reported that the Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M30 will be embedded with a 5,000mAh battery backup, which is a first for a Samsung phone. additionally, the Galaxy M30 is as well being crowned to come with a triple camera system like Samsung Galaxy A7 which was launched in 2018, which would be interesting to see in the mid-range segment.
"Samsung's Newly announced Galaxy 'M' series of smartphones with industry-first features hints the significance it accords to India as a growth market," said Prabhu Ram, Head-Industry Intelligence Group (IIG), CyberMedia Research (CMR).
