New Delhi, Jan 11-The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi is celebrating its 5th anniversary in India with many surprises for its fans. It has so far made four announcements that include price discounts on its best-selling phones. The latest offer from Xiaomi is the price drop on the Redmi 6.
The price of Redmi 6 with 3GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage is Rs 7,999. It was launched for Rs 8,999. Its discounted 64GB variant is now available for Rs 8,999 which was eventually launched for Rs 10,499. Redmi 6 with its new price is available on mi.com, Flipkart and offline stores including Mi Home stores.
A few days back, Xiaomi had announced price drops for three of its smartphones. Redmi Note 5 Pro (4GB+64GB) is available at Rs 12,999, while the 6GB RAM variant is available with a discounted price of Rs 17,999 from Rs 13,999. Mi A2 (4GB+64GB) is available for Rs 13,999, while the 6GB+128GB variant is retailing at Rs 15,999. Xiaomi is also offering the Redmi 6 pro with 3GB & 32GB of storage is available at Rs 9,999, and its 4GB & 64GB variant at Rs 11,999.
Redmi 6 was launched last summer along with the Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 Pro. This budget smartphone is powered by MediaTek’s Helio P22 octa-core processor. It features a 5.45-inch HD display with 18:9 aspect ratio. On the camera front, Redmi 6 houses a dual-camera setup of 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel AI cameras.
The handset has a 5-megapixel selfie camera. Redmi 6 is packed with a 3,000mAh battery. The handset offers AI-based face unlock and fingerprint sensor for security. It is available in four colour options of rose gold, gold, blue and black.
