New Delhi, Sep 28 Demand for the larger Apple iPhone XS Max is outpacing that of XS with 256GB storage option being the most popular, famed Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has said.Kuo has provided early sales numbers of the recently launched iPhone models and Apple Watch Series 4, which went on sale on Friday.Kuo says that iPhone XS Max demand is "better than expected," with the 6.5-inch model outselling the iPhone XS by three to four times, MacRumors reported late on Monday.
But apart from the sales, a serious issue has been reported about the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max by a renowned review site Tom's Guide
which has published battery testing of both smartphones which prove iPhone X is still a better option than the latest editions.
Tom’s Guide discovered that both new iPhones have shorter battery life than last year’s iPhone X:
iPhone XS Max - 10 hours 38 minutesiPhone XS - 9 hours 48 minutesiPhone X - 10 hours 49 minutes
Whereas if these latest smartphones are compared with the iPhone 8 Plus neither phone comes close as it lasted 11 hours 16 minutes.
The test by Tom's Guide comes as an embarrassing fact for Apple which claimed that the iPhone XS lasts up to 30 minutes longer than iPhone X and the iPhone XS Max lasts up to 1.5 hours longer than iPhone X whereas this isn't true
The new iPhones will be available in India starting September 28. In India, one would have to shell out Rs 12,075 a month, as zero-cost EMI, for a period of one year to own the 512GB variant of iPhone XS Max -- the most expensive iPhone released this month -- that would cost Rs 1,44,900.
The iPhone XS with 512GB storage model would be priced at Rs 134,900 and iPhone XR (64GB) would hit the shelves at a starting price of Rs 76,900 in India. With IANS Inputs
