New Delhi: Various state governments are giving full support to the central government's exercise of becoming dependent on electric vehicles as soon as possible. In this sequence, in the last months, the governments of some states have decided to give subsidy on buying electric vehicles there.
Now the name of Haryana has also been added to the list of these states. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar while announcing the state's new EV policy on Wednesday said that in order to encourage purchase of electric vehicles in the state, the state government has decided to give subsidy to electric vehicle buyers.
It is worth mentioning that before Haryana, many states across the country including Delhi, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka have announced Eve policies.
On this occasion, Khattar appealed to the citizens that they should do their part to stop the ever-increasing pollution. Along with this, Khattar also advocated for carpooling system, in which different people commute in the same vehicle.
