New Delhi, News24 Bureau, Feb 21: Bollywood actor Sunny Leone is one celebrity who ceases to surprise us and this time she has been a head-turner after news floated that she is in the rank of toppers in the Bihar Junior Engineering Exams.
The reality is that Sunny Leone's namesake reportedly featured in the list of top rankers in Bihar government's recruitment exam. The Opposition as usual smelled a rat and Tejashwi Yadav mounted a sharp attack on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He said that the Nitish government followed a policy of "farzi topper banao, farzi naukri pao (make fake toppers, get fake job)."
Tejashwi Yadav tweeted. "Courtesy to CM Nitish Kumar's "Farzi Topper Banao, Farzi Naukri Pao" education and recruitment policy, 'Sunny Leone' tops Bihar junior engineer merit list with 98.5 marks. Another candidate named, "BVCXZBNNB" has also made it to the top 3rd rank of the list."
This was in reference to media reports that Sunny Leone's name featured as the top ranker on the list of successful candidates, who had applied for 200 posts of junior engineer. The list was uploaded on the website of the Public Health Engineering Departments website.
Sunny Leone, the actor, has responded to this.
Bihar Minister VN Jha on "Sunny Leone" topping Bihar govt's recruitment exam for jr engineers in state public health engineering department said, "Results aren't out yet. Vacancies for Jr Engineers were announced and 17000 ppl applied. We published their names so if anyone has a query they can tell us."
The department's special secretary Satish Chandra Mishra said he didn't know who Ms Leone was.
"I do not know who is Sunny Leone. But it does sound a name that might have been uploaded on the website by way of mischief. We will get it sorted out," said Mishra.
Sunny Leone's namesake has been described as a female belonging to the general (unreserved) category and her father's name is stated to be Leona Leone.
She is said to have scored 98.5 points, 73.5 of these awarded on account of her education and the rest under the head experience.
