BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya's son Akash thrashes officer with a cricket bat

 New Delhi, News24 Bureau, June 26: Akash Vijayvargiya who is BJP MLA from Indore and son of senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya makes a filthy display of power and money as he is seen thrashing a Municipal Corporation officer with a cricket bat.The only crime of the officer was that he along with other officers was on an anti-encroachment drive in the area.And all this happened in full public glare. What is further intriguing is that the entire media was surrounding them when the incident took place and nothing seemed to intimidate Akash Vijayvargiya.The BJP MLA continued to thrash the officer with his bat mercilessly.Previous to the beating up episode there was a heated argument between the two and then suddenly the impulsive BJP MLA picked up the bat and ran behind the municipal officer.A BJP leader while talking to some sections of the media said that Akash reacted because the officer was asking for a bribe during the encroachment drive.

Prior to son, father Kailash Vijayvargiya was elected Indore MLA six times:Kailash Vijayvargiya had been elected as MLA from Indore district for six times since 1990. And then son Akash Vijayvargiya was chosen for the coveted position in November. BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya had then said that he had nothing to do with the party's decision to field his son Akash Vijayvargiya from Indore-3 Assembly seat.Vijayvargiya had reportedly told the media that it was party's decision to give the ticket to his son and that he had no role to play in it. He had said that he never asked Amit Shah for the ticket and had no role. But in the same breath, he had added that he welcomed the party's decision.said, "Perhaps nobody will believe it, but I never asked our president Amit Shah to give the ticket to my son. It was the party's decision. I welcome it."
