Battle of Bengal escalates: Modi is Besharam, should be sent to jail and made to do sit ups, says Mamata

New Delhi, News24 Bureau, May 16: The war-of-words in West Bengal is reaching a new low with each passing hour. West Bengal has been known to be famous for its charged and violent political scenario during all earlier elections too. When Left was in power, the Trinamool cried being a victim in the same style. But the political scene this time is reaching its nadir and since last few days, the headlines are emerging only from West Bengal for some infamous one-liners coming from all parties.

West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee, hurling a series of attacks on PM, who will be holding twin rallies later in the day today said, ":He (PM) said he'll make Vidyasagar statue. Bengal has money to make the statue. Can he give back the 200 years old heritage? We've proof&you say that TMC has done. Aren't you ashamed? He should do sit-ups for lying so much.Liar.Prove allegations otherwise we'll drag you to jail.Mamata Banerjee further says in Mathurapur, South 24 Parganas," I feel sad but I don't have anything to say, I am ready to go to jail for saying this. I am not scared to say the truth," and adds, "Last night we came to know that BJP had filed a complaint with EC so that we can't hold any meeting after Narendra Modi's meeting. EC is the brother of BJP, earlier it was an impartial body now everyone in the country says EC has sold out to BJP."An alarm bell has been set-off alarm bell by the Special Protection Group, which is responsible for the security and safety of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.PM Modi is all set for two rallies; one at Mathurapur and the other at Dum Dum. Not in an ambush of sorts, West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee has also planned a rally at Mathurapura, just before the PM's rally.

This has set off an alarm bell amid the SPG, which has now brought the entire security concern and the events to the notice of the Director General of Police (DGP). the venue of Mamata's rally is just next to that of the PM"s rally venue.

During his rally at Mau earlier today, PM Modi jestfully said, it remains to be seen if Mamata didi allows my rally in Bengal to take place.

PM Narendra Modi will be holding a rally in West Bengal today and he dares CM Mamata Banerjee assuring in the same breath that a grand statue of Ishwarchand Vidyasagar will be installed on the same spotPM Modi has challenged Mamata directly, "Let's see if didi allows this rally or not."
