Breaking all the box office records, "Baahubali: The Conclusion" has earned Rs 121 crore net on the opening day. Elated Karan Johar, who is the presenter of the Hindi version of the SS Rajamouli-directed movie, took to Twitter to share the record breaking first day collection of the film.
"Grand India Total of 121 crore net! Hindi is 41 crore! Tamil+ Telegu+ Malayalam = 80 crore! History has been created!" (sic) Johar tweeted.
Trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted, “#Baahubali2 Day 1 WW BO: Nett – ₹ 121 cr. Gross – ₹ 152 cr. Overseas – ₹ 65 cr. WW Total – ₹ 217 cr”
The film has broken the first day records of superstar Salman Khan and Aamir Khan's blockbusters. Salman’s 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' till now was at top with first day collections of Rs 39.32 crore, followed by 'Sultan' ( Rs 36.59 crore), then Shah Rukh Khan's 'Happy New Year' ( Rs 36.31 crore) followed by Aamir Khan's 'Dhoom 3' ( Rs 32.48 crore) and "Dangal" (Rs 29.78 crore).
"Baahubali: The Conclusion", released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, features Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati and Tamannaah in the lead.
